Cultural activities provide an outlet for the talented and creative learner. They often provide experiences that shape the lives of learners for the future. Learners learn social skills, interdependence, perseverance, freedom of expression and confidence through their cultural activities. They are an extremely important part of the learners' school life. Our learners are encouraged to participate in a variety of cultural activities and clubs and societies which are offered at the School. Cultural activities include: STEM club, Chess club, Debate & Public Speaking club, Photography & Media Club, Drama club, Art.
Art is a fun activity for our creative learners, Art is an extra mural that learners participate in during Term 1, our Art learners enter the annual Sanlam competition in Term 2.
Chess is a favourite for many of the learners, it is played over Term 1,2 and 3. Learners participate at an interhouse and interschool level.
Dance has been one of our most successful activities over the last five years. Our primary school has placed 1st and 2nd in the last two competitions that we have participated in. Dance is an interschool culture activity that takes place in Term 1.
Public speaking has created a creative and free space for learners to voice their opinions. Learners participate against each other in an interhouse level in Term 1 and at an interschool level in Term 3.
Spelling BEE is a new activity that we have introduced for our primary school learners. The learners will participate in an interhouse and interschool competition in Term 3.
